Printing Resources

Printing services are for academic coursework, departmental, or recognized student organization event use only.

Our standard production time is two full business days, Monday-Friday.
(Example: student A submits a job at 3:00pm on Friday, the job would be finished by 3:00pm the following Tuesday; student B submits a job at 6:10pm on Friday, the job would be finished by 10:00am the following Wednesday).
We strive to exceed this timetable whenever possible, but it is not guaranteed.

Policy Change for Campus Conferences

If you are submitting a poster for a large campus conference, ex: College of Engineering Senior Design Expo, Poster Symposium, etc;
normal production turn-around time may not apply.  See your sponsor's guidelines or call Media Hub (541-737-2840) to confirm turnaround time.

Please refer to your specific event submission deadline
Submissions received after the event deadline may be subject to a Rush Fee ($50)

A 'RUSH ORDER' will prioritize your print request ahead of others, but may not be available in busy times (ex: end of term, or large conferences)
Depending on staff availability, a rush order may be possible for an additional fee of $50.  Contact Media Hub Production at 541-737-2840 to determine if a rush order is currently available.

Poster Tips

Need advice on how to start?

Consider these points when designing your poster:

  1. Make the poster in a program where you have complete control over the size. We recommend programs like PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote as a good place to start.
  2. We really would prefer to have your raw working document!
  3. Only embed high quality images in your poster. Pictures can be scaled down, but they can't always be scaled up.
  4. Check for watermarks on your images! Don't just take the first thing you find on the internet.
  5. Spellcheck.
  6. Avoid lots of black or dark colors. Dark colors means more ink -- which can bleed into other colors; and is expensive.
  7. Consider only using 4 colors in your poster.
  8. Send in the poster as soon as you can -- especially during the busy spring term.
  9. Check your ONID e-mail. If there's a problem with your poster, we'll let you know immediately. This is also how you'll know your poster is ready for pickup.
